Google Latitude Updated, Now Supports iPhone 3G

The iOS application Google Latitude has just updated bringing support for iPhone 3G. Before that update, iPhone 3G users couldn't take the advantage of "background location reporting" but now they can update their location by simply launching the app on their handset.

Google latest updates :

- Improved battery usage
- Support for iPhone 3G (note that background location reporting is not supported by the hardware)
- Fixed bug where Maps button didn’t appear
- Location Services icon will no longer appear when not logged in
In December Google Latitude hit the App store after it spent a lot of time as a Web App fans of the service were pleased to see a native Google Latitude application reach the App Store. [Via AppAdvice]
